It's going to be spicy
I'm putting a book together of prints like this. It's a class project but I may decide to edition it. Stay tuned for more prints and info.
Tuesday
Here's a polaroid of the drawing I started yesterday. 5x7 feet done with chunky vine charcoal. My digital camera broke over the weekend so i'm stuck with the "pick pocket" polaroid. The cost of film for these guys is way out of hand.
Which candidate is doing the most to bring down the cost of film?
find out here.

The European Market
"No white bread was harmed in the making of this sandwich." This place has the best food and their Veggie Delight sandwich is the biggest thrill I've found in Richmond.

I heard the internet was starving for drawings of kittens.
I drew this a few years ago, I think after hearing about the prosthetic tail that a marine biologist fitted onto an injured dolphin.
This blog might turn into a march of "greatest hits" until i settle into my Spring classes.

about your art supplies
The people who make your paper, Canson, developed the first hot air balloon in 1783
Jack Richeson once almost beat a man to death with a T-square (he's not quite as bad as Carrivaggio. read this)
And the white paint tubes that are metal on the inside are called Glaminate tubes. They're actually metal laminated with plastic, but that's kind of obvious. But did you know that they were developed in 1980 for Liquitex?

deception
It's what's for dinner. I love the part where Mel Brooks says "Judas! do you want a beverage?"
Frosty Friday
Let's call this one "The Adoration of the Sketch Book Shelves and Possibly the R&F Paintstick Chart and the Little Bit of Carpet on the Floor and the Counter."

The Wall Street Deli
Somewhere between Broad and Main streets is this place. It's a place to remember if you're fed up with "richmond food" and just want someone to butter your toast for you.
broke
If you read Friday's Times Dispatch it was right there in black and white. I was caught carrying a political opinion, "The 'Two Americas' speaks to me." Senator John says he can end poverty in a generation and that's so great for art students. I'm lucky that sushi is so cheap here.
I'm going to have a show in Aprli of 3x5" drawings at the Harrison Street Coffee Shop and you're all invited.
